Day 1 Melbourne Arrival

Welcome to Australia. You will be met at the airport by your private guide and The Road Trip begins! The rest of the afternoon is free for leisure/relaxation.

The next three nights will be spent at the ultra luxurious Langham Hotel Melbourne. This riverside hotel features classic and timeless interiors and amenities, overlooking the Southbank district. Day 3 Melbourne Sightseeing

Today is free to explore Melbourne at your leisure. We recommend a visit to the wonderful Royal Botanic Gardens, which sprawl over 36 hectares in the central city. The huge array of flora offers a number of leisurely walks or even hop on the Garden Explorer winding its way around the gardens. The Botanic Gardens showcase native and local plant life embraced by the local indigenous peoples; the Kulin Nation. Also make sure to stop by the Tropical Glasshouse and the restored water feature Guilfoyle’s Volcano. Today also offers the chance to visit the historic Fitzroy Gardens, which showcase classic Victorian design and houses Cooks’ Cottage – the oldest building in Australia built in 1755. Make the most of the rugged scenery and abundant wildlife by taking a short walk close to the town to see The Mackenzie Falls and Beehive Falls or visit the Halls Gap Zoo for a showcase of native and exotic animals.

Walk along mountain ridges offering panoramic views or take a walk to the “Pinnacle”; an iconic lookout which offers one of the best vantage points in the area. On arrival into the region, we suggest taking several nature walks including stunning Wentworth Falls with its grand valley views and picturesque waterfall (45 minutes-1 hour return). For those wanting a taste of adventure there is the chance to take a 4WD tour off the beaten track, abseil over waterfalls, go canyoning or take a mountain bike tour. If you are after a more relaxing experience, a visit to the Botanical Gardens, the only botanic garden in the world inside a World Heritage Site, is well worth a visit.
